The International View: Chris DeShield

Chris is the 2010 Liberian Entertainment Awards R&B Artist Of The Year. We talk with his about this year\'s awards and listen to some music off of his new album. 2015 is sure to be a big year for Chris.

My Name is Chris DeShield, R&B/Hip Hop Singer and the 2009 Winner of the BET 106 and Park Allstar Competition & 2010 Liberian Entertainment Awards 'Best Artist' Winner. I was born in Liberia, West Africa and my life experiences have taught me to always put God first! I've learned to truly appreciate the 'Gift' I've been blessed with and the knowledge of my artistic creation has shaped me into the man and the artist I am today. When I'm in the studio or on stage I always 'Rep' for my people and I'm inspired by those who fight for and live their DREAMS. I was fortunate to have a cameo role in the hit film "Dreamgirls" and I've been blessed to share the stage with artists such as Raheem DeVaughn, B2K, One Chance, Jesse Powell, IMX, Avant, just to name a few. I appreciate all of those that support me and continue to show me love.
