A Sharpe Outlook: Give Back Through Mentoring

Since 1964, SCORE has helped more than 9 million aspiring entrepreneurs. Each year, SCORE provides small business mentoring and workshops to more than 375,000 new and growing small businesses. More than 14,000 business experts volunteer as mentors in 370 chapters serving local communities with entrepreneur education to help grow 1 million small businesses. SCORE\'s VP Of Field Operations Steve Records joins the program to discuss why mentoring is so important.

Steve Records

Steve Records is responsible for managing the national operations of SCORE’s 320 chapters and 11,000 volunteers as well as overseeing the headquarters Human Resources, Recruitment, and Volunteer Services programs.


Prior to joining SCORE, Steve was a Managing Consultant for The Gallup Organization in Washington, DC and his previous experience includes multiple field sales, marketing, field management, and consulting positions within a multinational chemical and energy company. Steve is a graduate of Purdue University and completed an MBA at the University of Nevada.
