Kim Peralta

Kim Peralta began practicing Iyengar yoga in 1987 under the late senior Iyengar teacher Mary Dunn. She began training in Pune, India at the Iyengar Institute in 1989 and was Iyengar certified in 1991. In 1992 she and a handful of teachers co-founded the Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York and in 1996 was granted permission by B.K.S. Iyengar to open the Iyengar Yoga School of Northern New Jersey, where she was director for 12 years. Her teaching certificate was upgraded to Intermediate lll in 1997. She eventually moved to Maine and in 2013 opened the Iyengar Yoga Center in Brooksville, again with B.K.S. Iyengar\'s blessing. Kim is a proud member of the Iyengar Yoga Association of New England and the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States.
