Scott Weinberg

Scott Weinberg is recognized as a leading attorney and top expert in the field of criminal law.



As a prosecuting attorney at the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office (in the Detroit area), Scott prosecuted over 75 Capital Felony trials. He was also Chief of the Criminal Sexual Conduct Unit, and the Lead Prosecutor in over 100 felony and misdemeanor trials.



Scott later became Associate Attorney at a leading criminal law firm, where he was Lead Counsel on over 100 criminal cases per year, in all areas of criminal law including drug and alcohol offenses, criminal sexual conduct and all types of major assault crimes.



Since 1997, Scott Weinberg has been founder and majority stockholder of Michigan Criminal Lawyers, PC. There, Scott manages a dozen attorneys in defending clients on a variety of criminal offenses.



Scott has been an expert guest commentator on Court TV and CBS Radio on noted cases including People v. Jack Kevorkian, the Jenny Jones murder case, People v. Donald Debolt and People v. Watts. He’s also a regular guest on leading Detroit radio stations WXYT, WWJ and WJR.



A graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Detroit School of Law, Scott is a member of: Michigan Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Oakland County Bar Association, Macomb County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Member of the American Bar Association Criminal Lawyers Section.
